My Values:
Inclusion
Compassion
Empowerment
An Intersectional Approach
Inclusion: Through my work with LGBTQ+ Individuals and Communities, and my adoption of an intersectional approach, I constantly strive to centre the voices of those who are marginalised.
Compassion: kindness and embodied awareness are key to building the therapeutic relationship and sensitively attuning with my clients experience
Empowerment: Through my activist and advocacy work, I have witnessed the significant impact social and political marginalisation have on well-being. Therefore, in the face of these challenges, I emphasise empowering my clients and challenging negative internalised societal messages.
An intersectional approach: I acknowledge all aspects of experience and identity which shape my clients sense of self, such as gender, sexuality, race, disability, neurodiverse status, age, immigrant status and more. I am aware of my own privilege and work to constantly challenge the limits of my own perspective, in order to truly meet my clients in their experiences.
My Identity
I identify as a trans, non-binary, queer and Buddhist. I am white and able bodied. I am neuro-divergent and have dyspraxia and ADHD. I use they/ them pronouns.
